Library Staff Travel and Development Committee
Fondren Library encourages all library staff to attend professional and scholarly conferences as well as workshops, seminars and other educational and professional activities, both local and national, which enhance the skills and knowledge of each member of the staff. To support these activities the Staff Travel and Development Committee sets forth these guidelines in accordance with the Travel Policy of Rice University (806-99). These guidelines pertain to Fondren Staff who are currently employed by Rice University. All travel and training reimbursements are subject to the approval of the Travel Committee and Library Director and may be limited by available funds.
