Biographical Note

Playwright, professor and attorney George Greanias (b. 1948) taught at Rice University from 1977-1983.

His "Hello Hamlet!" (two-act play), was first produced in Houston, Tex., at Weiss College, Rice University, October, 1967. "Wilson" (two-act play), was first produced in Miami, Fla., at Players Repertory Theater, August, 1973.

Greanias also contributes articles and reviews to newspapers and communication and law journals.He is a member of the steering committee of Houston/Harris County Sports and Health Association; advisory director of Reading, Education, and Development Council; member of board of directors of Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse, Older American Services, Westbury Hospital, Young Audiences of Houston, and Midtown Art Center; member of advisory board of Girls Club of Houston, Houston Action for Soviet Jewry, Houston Symphony Orchestra, and Alley Theatre; trustee of Annunciation Church School, Lighthouse for the Blind, and Houston Museum of Fine Arts.
