The first voyage was on the Janus from Salem, Massachusetts to Sumatra with a cargo of pepper on the return trip. The second was onboard the Dawn from Salem, Massachusetts to Archangel, Russia, and the third was onboard the Glide from Archangel, Russia to Salem, Massachusetts.
