Business ledger of transactions for services with various persons and companies, including the Confederate States of America. The firm of Allen and Morris was located in Prattville, Alabama. (81 p.)
American Defense Group. Records. 1941-1944. (MS 353)
These records consist of correspondence, memos, organizational and reading lists, and budget information regarding the American Defense Group. The Group was made up of professors from three California insitutions. The professors assisted the American war effort during World War II.

Anderson, Ralph Jr. Papers. 1860-1989 (MS 413)
Houston-born Ralph Anderson Jr. (1923-1990) studied architecture at Rice Institute and earned a bachelor's degree in 1943. The papers from 1860-1989 cover a broad spectrum of Ralph Anderson's life, including his family, school, university years, his combat service in World War II with the U.S. Army, and his professional life as an architect. 10.25 cubic feet (with an additional .75 cu. ft in vault).
Ann Marie Stewart Turner letters, 1857-1913 (MS 114)
The letters are written by and to Ann Marie Stewart and her husband James, family and friends. James wrote letters as a prisoner during the Civil War. 1857-1913. The collection is .25 linear feet.

Two letters written ca. 1800-1850 by Sarah Austin, a writer, translator, and wife of jurist John Austin. One letter relates to the dangerous illness of her brother; the other refers to her stay at Bonchurch and mentions that she had written a letter to <i>The Times</i> with references to Shakespeare's house. 1 folder (2 letters).

The Civil War and Confederate scrapbook of Mrs. Mary J. Bobo contains pasted clippings from the Nashville (Tenn.) Banner newspaper on some of the history and battles of the U.S. Civil War dating from 1902-1907.
