Publishing Sources from the Woodson Research Center Special Collections & Arcives
Publishing WRC Materials
1.) Determine copyright status of specific
materials to be published.
If material is not in the public domain and will require copyright permission, written permission from the copyright holder (or adequate documentation of efforts to determine copyright status and locate copyright holder) must be provided to the WRC.
2.) Request permission to publish or exhibit WRC materials
Submit completed and signed Permission
to Publish form to the WRC staff.
Depending on the nature of the publication, a Use Fee may also be assesed:

3.) Select appropriate citation format.
When publishing entire works or portions of entire works, complete and
accurate citations should be used, even if the item is not under copyright
protection.

By authorizing one-time publication of materials,
the Woodson Research Center does not transfer copyright.
