Resource Guide for the Violoncello
Scores are shelved under M, alphabetically by composer within each class number. For cello music, the most important numbers to remember are M52 (solo unaccompanied), M231-233(cello
sonatas, suites or variations, and pieces respectively, all accompanied by piano), and M1017(cello concertos, piano reduction). Browse the scores shelved under these class numbers to get an idea of the library's holdings. Remember, though: many scores may be checked out or kept at the off-campus Library Service Center. Always check in Webcat, Fondren’s online catalog, to determine the library's complete holdings of cello music.
