Scores are shelved under M, alphabetically by composer within each class number. The most important numbers to remember for finding scores of flute music are M62 (solo unaccompanied), M242 (flute solo with keyboard), and M1021 (flute concertos, piano reduction). Browse the scores shelved under these class numbers to get an idea of the library's holdings. Remember, though: many scores may be checked out or kept at the off-campus Library Service Center. RILM Abstracts of Music Literature
RILM indexes not just journal articles, but all types of music literature:
books, dissertations, conference proceedings, reviews, etc. Coverage goes back
to 1969.
International Index to Music Periodicals (IIMP)
IIMP indexes approximately 370 periodicals, including Flute Talk, from 1996 to
the present. In addition, IIMP-FT contains the full texts of several dozen
music periodicals back to 1996.
Music Index Online
Indexes more than 640 music periodicals going back to 1979. Flute Talk is
indexed back to 1988.
