International, national, and state energy resources

United States Department of Energy (DOE) Related Resources

DOE Data Explorer -- Contains collections of Department of Energy sponsored research from national laboratories, data centers, scientific user facilities, and colleges and universities. Includes numeric files, figures and data plots, multimedia and images, computer simulations, specialized databases, and interactive data maps. Specialized search interfaces allow deep penetration into collections. Software toolkits provide a means to manipulate, compare, visualize, download, and re-use data.

DOE Information Bridge -- Electronic collection of DOE sponsored full-text reports and accompanying bibliographic records processed by the Department of Energy from 1991 forward. Electronic copies of legacy documents are added as they become available.

DOepatents (U.S. Department of Energy) -- Searchable database of historic and current patent information resulting from DOE-sponsored research and development (R&D). Full text available as a PDF file or as an HTML link to the record at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Does not include patent applications.

E-print Network -- Provides access to informal papers and yet-to-be published literature primarily in physics but also including subject areas such as chemistry, biology and life sciences, materials science, nuclear sciences and engineering, energy research, computer and information technologies, and other disciplines of interest to DOE. Searches the Deep Web.

Energy Citations Database -- Energy and energy-related scientific and technical information from the Department of Energy (DOE) and its predecessor agencies, the Energy Research & Development Administration (ERDA) and the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) 1948 - present. Includes everything in DOE Information Bridge.

Energy Research and News (USGS) -- Contains assessments, reports, maps and links to energy resources.

EnergyFiles: The Energy Science and Technology Virtual Library Environment -- Combines information, tools, and technologies to facilitate access to and use of scientific resources primarily in the physical sciences. Includes over 500 databases and Web sites with information and resources about science and technology of interest to the Department of Energy.

Federal R & D Project Summaries -- Allows for access to R & D project summaries being done at the DOE, EPA, NIH, NSF, SBA (Technology Resources), and USDA.

GrayLit Network (no longer available as of 10/31/07) -- Fulltext technical reports of Federal Agencies of 'gray' literature. Now use Science.gov or the Science Accelerator to search across collections of the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) scientific and technical information.

Science Accelerator -- Provides federated search of DOE databases including R&D results, project descriptions, accomplishments, etc.

Science.gov -- Serves as a gateway to authoritative selected science information provided by 12 U.S. Government agencies, including research and development results. Science.gov brings together, through one interface, reliable resources selected by the respective agencies as important science information. Easy access options are provided through a search feature, a deep Web search feature for more detailed information, and a browse feature. Science.gov is the official USA.gov for Science Cross-Agency Portal.

WorldWideScience.org -- Labeled as "a global science gateway—accelerating scientific discovery and progress through a multilateral partnership to enable federated searching of national and international scientific databases and portals." Offers a clickable world map for viewing participating agencies/resources by country.
