Topic: *The NIH Public Access Policy*
As of April 7, 2008, all Principal Investigators funded by NIH are
required to comply with the NIH Public Access Policy. In part, this
policy mandates that that all investigators funded by the NIH submit or
have submitted for them to the National Library of Medicine's PubMed
Central an electronic version of their final, peer-reviewed manuscripts.
This presentation provides an overview of the policy, including an
explanation of the reason behind the policy and a brief description of
the steps needed to maintain compliance.
Lunch for the first 25 attendees will be free, first come, first served.
Sponsored by the HAM-TMC Library/Fondren Library, Rice University
Scholarly Communication Team.
Please alert your friends and colleagues to this great opportunity to
learn more about the new NIH Policy!
