Harris County Census 2000 Application
The Harris County Census 2000 Application was developed in-house to access and query the massive amount of data that can be downloaded from the Census. The application can be tailored to any other county in the US.
The GIS/Data Center at Rice University has created an application that makes it easy to map out any field of information from the Census 2000 Summary Files for Harris County. The summary files contain thousands of fields of information. There are endless possibilities for the use of census information combined with other layers of information in a GIS system.
