15 Things To Try In Web 2.0

This 15 week long activity explores various sites and technologies that make up the next generation of web communications.

What is Web 2.0?

Web 2.0 refers to the second generation of web technology that started appearing around 2004. It's all about the idea of user generated content on the web, collaboration technologies and social networks that not only share pictures, videos, news, bookmarks and other information but lets groups of people create, interact and edit information on the web in new ways.

Exploring Web 2.0

We have developed a casual course to introduce a handful of Web 2.0 technologies to staff. Each exercise will have a topic with some web sites to explore and activities to complete. Most of these exercises will take under 30 minutes, but you'll find that some topics might interest you and you'll want to explore the sites in-depth. This really is about playing around with the technologies and seeing what they do, so have fun!

Please note that we have disabled commenting from the public, but we have kept the comments that were added by Fondren Staff during the first run of this course.
