Tableau is a fast rising and award-winning visualization tool in Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics Platforms.  It helps people see and understand data. In the presentation part, we will cover what Tableau is, what Tableau can do, and the different versions of Tableau.
The hands-on part will cover how to use Tableau Public, the free version of the software. Specifically, we will use a small set of DMC equipment circulation data as an example. We will cover:
 • how to load a data set
• how to create workbooks, charts and visualizations
• how to build a dashboard
• how to publish to the web, and more.
