To succeed as a researcher, you need to manage your data effectively; otherwise you risk losing your data, wasting time looking for files, and struggling to meet data sharing requirements.
This asynchronous online workshop will help researchers learn how to organize, document and store research data, as well as introduce them to key resources at Rice. Through brief learning modules, activities, and a peer discussion forum, participants will come away with concrete ideas for creating a data management plan, naming files, and archiving data. The workshop will take place on the Canvas learning management system between November 2 and 5. Expect to spend about 30 minutes per day, at a time most convenient to you.
