- Connect a video camera or DSLR camera to your computer to be used as a streaming device.
- The camera must have an HDMI output.
When a video camera is connected, go to Home-> Other Settings,- Output Onscreen Displays, choose OFF. So the image on the computer screen looks cleaner
- Auto Power Off, Choose OFF. So the camera won't turn itself off automatically after a few minutes' standby.
- The computer must run either macOS 10.12 or Windows 10. Cam Link is a plug-and-play device. You don't need to install any driver for it to work.
- The camera must have an HDMI output.
- OBS Studio is a good open source app for streaming. The software recognizes Cam Link once it is plugged in.
- If Skype is loaded on the computer, the set-up can be used as a video conferencing unit.
