This hands-on workshop will introduce participants to Adobe After Effects. Participants will learn how create a motion graphic video using animation, effects and transitions. Participants will incorporate the 12 basic principles of animation in their video.

This hands-on workshop will introduce participants to Adobe InDesign. Participants will learn to manage typography and graphics within InDesign. The topics to be covered are:

This hands-on workshop will introduce participants to Adobe Illustrator. The training will cover key concepts and functions. Participants will incorporate elements of design in an illustrative process. The topics to be covered are:

• Raster vs vector art
• Creating Bézier curves
• Using Photoshop and Illustrator Effects within Illustrator
• Object effects and styles
• Using pathfinder to create complex shapes
• Clipping and Gradient masks
• Fill and Stroke

An effective poster can get your main points across to as many people as possible. In this workshop, we will talk about the general guidelines on how to create an effective poster. In addition, there will be a hands-on practice on creating an academic poster in PowerPoint.
