The Philosophy Department at Rice University is pleased to host Professor Ned Block, Silver Professor of Philosophy, Psychology and Neural Science at NYU. Block has made seminal contributions to the Philosophy of Mind and Cognitive Science, and was recently voted as one of the 10 most influential philosophers of mind since WWII.

Rice Conversations aims to help increase Rice students’ exposure to startup culture and involvement with entrepreneurial activities. We cater to the needs of the students who want to know what it is like to work at a startup by inviting entrepreneurs to have bi-weekly lunches with students on Rice campus. This time we invite Peter Hans, the CEO of Harvest Exchange to talk about his startup and share his experience with rice students.
The Critical Thinking in Sexuality Task Force is hosting a screening of a series of videos done to promote conversation around the ideas of consent, sexual assault, and education here at Rice. After the screening, the task force will answer questions from students regarding the next steps for our task force and for Rice as a community.
