June 1 marks the beginning of hurricane season. It is time to make sure you are hurricane ready!
Fondren Library, a designated Communities Respond to Extreme Weather (CREW) Climate Resilience Hub for the Houston area, can help you be prepared for hurricanes, along with other weather emergencies.
Stop by Fondren Library on June 15 from 10am-3pm to visit our weather preparedness table, which will be set up near the Circulation Desk. We will be giving away copies of the City of Houston Disaster Preparedness Guide (available in English, Spanish, Vietnamese and Mandarin) as well as other brochures for staying safe during weather emergencies. We will also have two raffles to enter to win a First Aid Emergency Kit and a Solar Powered Crank Radio with Flashlight and Phone Charger. We hope to see you on June 15!
