Ethical Generative AI Use for Researchers

This course will provide an overview of a variety of generative AI tools and how best to leverage them to assist in research. Emphasis will be placed on which tools excel at what tasks, data privacy standards, how to verify the veracity of the content genAI tools provide, and strategies for incorporating genAI tools into your research workflow ethically. Tools covered include:

  • Gemini
  • Consensus
  • Research Rabbit
  • NotebookLM
This course is intended for members of the Rice community who have a NetID and therefore access to some licensed tools.
