It is always best to contact the Kelley Center before visiting in-person. Our staff may not be available to assist you due to previous engagements.

Where is Kelley Center?
The Kelley Center consists of an Office Suite, the collections and equipment in a separate public area with a staffed information desk. The Center is located in the Fondren Library's basement. The room number for the Office Suite is B38. (Fondren Library Basement Floor Map)

Office Suite Staff Public Hours: 
M-F 9:30am-4:30pm. (Note: Our staff availability and schedule are subject to change.) To avoid conflicts, make an appointment; staff will also be better prepared to help you.

You may use our:

  • Schedule an appointment (see the section above for detailed instruction)
  • Kelley Center Information Desk: Located in the basement, Fondren Library. (Please visit the Schedule Section on Kelley Center's home page for updates)
  • Kelley Center tangible collections and equipment: They are in the public area. You are welcome to use them; no staff permission is needed. They are easily accessible any time Fondren Library is open. Floor maps, public signs, and paper instructions are near collections and equipment to guide you. If you notice anything on the Kelley Center maps, public signs, or paper instructions that needs clarification or updating, please email govhelp@rice.edu. We will work on it.
