Constitution Day and Kelley Center 101

This 45-minute information session introduces the history and significance of Constitution Day, why we celebrate it, and how Constitution and Citizenship Day is observed across the United States.

You'll also learn about the event organizer Kelley Center's specialized collections, services, and programs. Discover who we are, what we do, and how faculty, students, and researchers can access and use our government information and civic engagement resources—including print and digital publications, maps, and microforms—for learning, teaching, research, and creative projects. Learn how the Kelley Center can support your work through research consultations, instructional partnerships, civic engagement initiatives, and collaborative exhibit projects.

Whether you're new to the Kelley Center or looking for innovative ways to incorporate government information, primary sources, and data into your teaching or research, this session will introduce resources and opportunities you may not have known were available. A Q&A session will follow the presentation.

This session also serves as the kickoff event for our full day of Constitution and Citizenship Day celebration activities. To explore the complete program, visit the 2026 Constitution and Citizenship Day event page.

We encourage you to register for additional activities using the full day program registration form. Advance registration helps us plan seating, refreshments, and other event logistics.
