Docker Part 1: Introduction to Docker

Prerequisites:

While our example code will be written in Python, this class focuses on containerized deployment of lightweight, interactive apps.

Overview:

Docker is a popular technology for standardizing software environments, allowing developers to more easily collaborate across platforms, and to reliably deploy their applications to the cloud. In this introductory workshop, we will show you the basics of using Docker and get you up and running with a simple Python app. In a second workshop (Docker Part II) we will build on this work.
