Introduction to Census Data and Data Tools (Virtual Session)

Scope

Interested in learning about available data on the U.S. population, places and economy?  This workshop provides information on the U.S. Census Bureau, the agency’s most prominent survey, available data tools and other resources. Follow along with demonstrations on how to access data using QuickFacts and data.census.gov, the Bureau’s main data tool.  Recommended for beginner data users.

This course is free and open to the public.

Rice students, staff and faculty.

Registration

Advance registration is required. Please register online. If you need to cancel your reservation, please send an email to govhelp@rice.edu, so people on the waiting list can take the class.

It is your responsibility to notify the instructor if you will no longer be able to attend.

If you miss a course without notifying staff by the day of the course, your registration for all future courses will be canceled.
