Learn How to Find and Work with Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Resources in Sage Database

Come learn about your access to Sage Data and other Sage resources covering Artificial Intelligence (AI) through the Rice University Fondren Library! Are you on the lookout for more data but unsure how to access it? Not sure how to find information about specific populations, time periods, public health initiatives, and more? New to working with AI and not sure where to begin? Have questions about the ethics of AI for research? If so, you’ll want to join us to learn all about Sage Data and AI resources within the entire Sage suite.

In this session you will learn about how you can find, understand, and manipulate data to create your own custom charts and graphs to convey the story you need to tell. We will also be diving into the entire Sage suite to discover ways you can learn more and teach about the use of AI. Whether you are wanting to learn a new skill related to AI or you are wanting to find a lesson to help you teach about it, this session will help you know exactly where to find what you need.

This 1.5 hours short course consists of two parts:

  1. 12:00–1:00 PM (CT):  Open to students, faculty, and librarians with a focus on how to use these resources.
  2. 1:00–1:30 PM (CT): This portion will be dedicated to how to use these resources for teaching and instruction specifically.
