Fondren Library's Kelley Center for Government Information Resources & Civic Engagement is once again partnering with the Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector's Office to offer official in-person Harris County VDVR certificate training at Rice. There will be two upcoming on-site sessions for the fall 2025. The content of both training sessions is identical. Select a date and click the link below to register:
- August 13, 12-1:30pm, 2025 (deadline 8/7: click the link to learn more)
- September 18, 3-4:30, 2025 (deadline 9/12: click the link to learn more)
Bonus
These in-person sessions will be 30 minutes longer than Harris County’s virtual training and will include bonus content specifically for Rice VDVRs. In addition to the official VDVR training, the Kelley Center will introduce Fondren Library civic engagement resources and services to help Rice VDVRs stay informed and actively participate in—or even organize—their own voter registration events. The sessions also provide an opportunity to connect with fellow Rice VDVRs and boost your motivation. If you follow the instructions on the registration page and register on time, you will receive your VDVR certificate immediately at the end of the onsite training.
Training Location
Multipurpose Room, Basement, Fondren Library
Eligibility and Cost
The training sessions are free and open to all Rice University students, faculty, staff, and the general public.
Light refreshment will be provided.
