In-Person Workshop "Create a Web Site Using CampusPress"

CampusPress (formally known as WordPress) is web software you can use to create an user-friendly website or blog. It has many features including a plug-in architecture and a template system which allows users to re-arrange widgets without editing PHP or HTML code and switch between themes.  WordPress features integrated link management, a search engine-friendly structure, and the ability to assign nested, multiple categories to articles.

This workshop will cover the basics of creating an academic website, including

  • creating pages, posts,
  • adding/deleting sidebar widgets, links,
  • managing pages, posts and comments,
  • embedding videos, Google maps, and other medias,
  • creating contact forms and image gallery.
