Technical Services
Technical services encompasses Acquisitions and Cataloging & Metadata Services. These departments work together to first acquire new materials and then describe them to make them available for search in the catalog. There is a constant rotation of new items coming in and items going out of the department to meet patron needs. Throughout the FY there were around 30,000 items acquired and cataloged. The linear trendline demonstrates an overall reduction of items in the department, demonstrating that turnaround times are being reduced, and that things are being processed efficiently.
