Fondren Library Kelley Center offers this one-hour Volunteer Deputy Voter Registrar Training conducted by the Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector's Office, which will be hosted at Fondren Library. This training will give you all the necessary information you’ll need to effectively go out and register voters in Harris County.
Eligibility and Cost
- All VDVR trainings are free and open to the public.
Important Notes for Registrants
- **Participants must arrive on time and attend the training in its entirety.
Certificate. To receive your certificate of appointment at the end of the on site training,
you must fill this online application form out: https://www.hctax.net/Forms/VolDeputy.pdf by the deadline September 16 for the training on September 19.
Please email your completed application form to tax.vdvr@tax.hctx.net and also include Rice VDVR training-[date] (e.g. Rice VDVR training September 19-2024]) in the subject line.
AND
- you must pre-register for this training by the deadline September 16 for the training on September 19.
- Both the registration and application form submission must be done by the deadline. This is crucial information that is needed for processing. Anyone who misses the deadline submission will be processed and the participant will receive the certificate and starter kits via mail in 5-10 business days after the training.
- Walk in: This training ALLOWS walk in attendees, but please be aware of that the seat availability is not guaranteed without the registration. The walk in attendees will also not be able to receive the certificates and the starters' kits right after completing the training.
- Cancellation. VDVR trainings are subject to cancellation or reschedule due to severe weather.
