Fondren Library is excited to announce a new three-year agreement with Oxford University Press (OUP). This partnership will significantly expand the resources available to our researchers and support the university's commitment to open access and scholarly communication.
Key Highlights of the Agreement:
- Access: Full collection of 350+ titles across humanities, social sciences, law, medicine, mathematics, sciences, and other subjects, representing a 271% increase over current subscription access.
- Open Access Publishing: Rice corresponding authors can publish open access in more than 500 OUP titles with no publishing fees and no limits on the number of articles published during the agreement term. Since 2020, Rice authors have published approximately 24 articles per year with OUP.
This agreement is a testament to Fondren Library's ongoing efforts to support the visibility and impact of Rice research while providing access to scholarly research, despite the challenges of rising costs.
