Congressional Publications Research - Introduction to ProQuest Congressional Database

ProQuest Congressional provides Full-text access to historical (1789- ) and current U.S. Congressional publications, federal bills and laws, information about members of Congress and Congressional committees, and more. It allows you to explore Congress in action with comprehensive online resource available for congressional publications and legislative research. You can perform in-depth research in public policy, historical, and legal areas of interest.

The training will cover:

  • An overview of ProQuest Congressional:
    • Content available via Fondren Library subscription
    • main features available in the database
  • Any recent updates and
  • Time for audience Q&A

Due to the commercial license, this training is only open to Rice faculty, staff, and students.
