Course Reserve Request Disclaimer
If your professor has not already arranged course reserves with the Library, you're welcome to submit a request yourself. Please note the following:
Required textbooks: The Library is unable to purchase multiple copies of textbooks that students are required to purchase for a course. If the Library does not already own a copy of the required textbook, we will purchase one copy to be made available on reserve. All textbooks on reserve are for short-term, in-library use only, loaned in 2-hour increments.
Other materials (novels, supplemental readings, articles, etc.): For materials that are not the primary required textbook for purchase, the Library will make reasonable efforts to acquire or locate a copy and place it on reserve, subject to availability, copyright restrictions, and budget considerations. Generally, the Library will purchase no more than one copy per request.
Verification with your instructor: Before adding any material to reserve, the Library will reach out to your professor to confirm the correct edition, required readings, and any other details needed to fulfill the request accurately. This may delay processing until we hear back from your instructor.
Submitting a request does not guarantee that material will be made available, but the Library will notify you of the outcome of your request.
