Eligibility

Current Rice Faculty, Senior University Administrators, Graduate Students, and Staff.

Submit a Request

All requests must be submitted electronically through the Rice ILLiad System.  Use your NetID and Password.

Services

• Secure electronic PDF delivery of articles and book chapters
  • Automatically OCR-enabled as part of the scanning software suite
  • Scan requests may be converted to holds if volume requested exceeds copyright/scanning thresholds
• Copyright compliance 
• Access to circulating materials from the Fondren Library collection
• Books will be retrieved from the stacks and placed on “Hold”
• Most requests will be filled within 1-2 business days
• If the requested item is unavailable from Fondren Library, your request will automatically be converted into an Interlibrary Loan request, unless otherwise specified
• Requests are processed Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m
