Prerequisites:
Basic familiarity with R or completion of Fondren's Introduction to R and working knowledge of introductory statistics (including hypothesis testing). Intermediate data transformation in R is also strongly recommended.
Overview:
This course focuses on analyzing quantitative data with descriptive and inferential statistics in R. Topics include calculating summary statistics (mean, median, standard deviation, and interquartile range) for an entire sample and for subgroups, comparing two means (unpaired and paired) with t tests, comparing multiple means with a one-way analysis of variance, and examining relationships with Pearson's r.
