Basic familiarity with R and Cleaning Data in R - Part 1

Overview:

This course continues the workflow involved in cleaning messy data in R, including the following tasks:

  • Changing data types
  • Fixing character data (e.g., case and white space inconsistency)
  • Recoding
  • Transforming data formats (long-to-wide and wide-to-long)
