Statistics and Data Visualization in R

Prerequisites:

Basic familiarity with R or completion of Fondren's Introduction to R and working knowledge of introductory statistics.  Cleaning and Wrangling Data in R is also recommended.  

Overview:

This course introduces analyzing quantitative data with descriptive and inferential statistics and visualizing data with plots and graphs in R.  Topics include calculating summary statistics (mean, median, standard deviation, and interquartile range) for an entire sample and for subgroups, comparing two means (unpaired and paired) with t tests, comparing multiple means with a one-way analysis of variance, examining relationships with Pearson's r, and  creating histograms, line plots, scatterplots, and other graphs using the ggplot2 package.
