Overview:

Come to this workshop to learn how to store and use your research data better and in a more scalable way. This workshop will focus on Rice's research data storage platforms and techniques for moving and managing your research data.  Topics will include:

  • The CRC's Research Data Facility (RDF) - flexible network storage for your lab
  • Open Storage Network (OSN) allocations for sharing large datasets
  • Cloud based data storage options (Box, OneDrive, Gdrive)
  • Data moving tools - scp, rclone, Cyberduck, boto3 python library, GLOBUS
