Strategic Priority 2: Enhance Research Support and Infrastructure

Today's research is increasingly collaborative, interdisciplinary, and digital. Overleaf provides students and researchers with a professional online environment for collaboratively writing theses, dissertations, journal articles, and grant proposals using LaTeX, the publishing standard across many STEM disciplines. A campuswide license would remove financial barriers for students while providing every researcher with access to a powerful collaborative writing platform. This investment would strengthen graduate student success, improve the efficiency of scholarly collaboration, and help Rice researchers produce and share their work more effectively.
