Fondren Library provides equipment for use in the library and individual departments, and for checkout through the Digital Media Commons.
Available for use in Fondren
- Wifi is available everywhere in the building
- Public computers (ask for code when checking in at front desk)
- Rice Network computers (Rice NetID required)
- Scanning kiosks
- Specialty scanning devices in the DMC
- Microform scanners in Kelley Center
- Color and B&W printers (payment required)
- Rice networked printers (paid through Rice NetID)
- Color plotters (paid through Rice NetID)
- Various legacy media drives/readers in the DMC

Free to Use in the Library:
Markers, erasers, and whiteboards are available for immediate use on-site. Just return them when you're done for the next person.
- Dry erase markers & erasers
- Personal 24"x18" whiteboards (located on 6th floor and at the Service Desk on the 1st floor.)
