Introduction to the Center for Research Computing - Services and Resources

Overview:

The Center for Research Computing (CRC) maintains specialized computing services and infrastructure to meet the research needs of the Rice community. This hour-long workshop will introduce you to the CRC's services and computing resources, including:

  • High Performance Computing (HPC) clusters
  • Research data storage and high-speed transfer
  • Secure enclaves for working with regulated data
  • Procurement and management of researcher-owned systems
  • Pathways to cloud and national computing resources
  • Data analytics, visualization and mapping services
  • Consulting, training, and application support services
