All VDVRs who have supported voter registration at Rice are invited to the 2025 Rice VDVRs Celebration and Appreciation Lunch, sponsored by Fondren Library. Now in its second year, this free lunch is our way of thanking you for your contributions. More details will be shared as the date approaches.

Fondren Library Kelley Center for Government Information offers this 1.5 hours hands on training workshop, which will be hosted at Fondren Library.

About the workshop
This workshop explores the role of media in shaping public perception and civic engagement. Participants will learn how to critically evaluate news sources, recognize bias and fake news, and understand our own impact through social media interactions.
Objectives:
Fondren Library was designated by the U.S. Congress as a selective Federal Depository Library in March 1967. We are celebrating our 58th service anniversary in Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP)!

Please join us! Rice student organization Team ENOUGH-Rice Chapter will table at Fondren to engage students in support of the Texas Majority to Prevent Gun Violence Advocacy Day happening Feburary 27 this week! The goal of the event is to allow Rice students on campus to take meaningful action by contacting their representatives, even if they can't make it out to Advocacy Day themselves since it will be in Austin during the school week.

This training provides information on the U.S. Census Bureau, the agency’s most prominent surveys, available data tools and other resources. Follow along with demonstrations on how to access data using QuickFacts and data.census.gov, the Bureau’s main data tool.

Fondren Library Kelley Center offers this one-hour Volunteer Deputy Voter Registrar Training conducted by the Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector's Office, which will be hosted at Fondren Library. This training will give you all the necessary information you’ll need to effectively go out and register voters in Harris County.
