Gun Violence Prevention Advocacy Event

Please join us! Rice student organization Team ENOUGH-Rice Chapter will table at Fondren to engage students in support of the Texas Majority to Prevent Gun Violence Advocacy Day happening Feburary 27 this week! The goal of the event is to allow Rice students on campus to take meaningful action by contacting their representatives, even if they can't make it out to Advocacy Day themselves since it will be in Austin during the school week.

This training is part of Fondren Library's Government Information Literacy Instruction series and Data@Rice workshop series.

Interested in learning about available data on the U.S. population, places and economy?  This training provides information on the U.S. Census Bureau, the agency’s most prominent surveys, available data tools and other resources. Follow along with demonstrations on how to access data using QuickFacts and data.census.gov, the Bureau’s main data tool.

Fondren Library Kelley Center offers this one-hour Volunteer Deputy Voter Registrar Training conducted by  the Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector's Office, which will be hosted at Fondren Library. This training will give you all the necessary information you’ll need to effectively go out and register voters in Harris County.
