Poster Printing at the DMC

Upcoming Material Change

Once the current supply of 36" wide Satin Paper is depleted, the DMC will transition to offering canvas printing materials only. This change is expected to take place around mid-July.  Please plan accordingly for any upcoming print projects. DMC staff, 6/24/2025

  • Poster files

    • Please make sure your poster is available in PDF format.
    • If you are using Adobe Illustrator to design your poster, when exporting as a .pdf file, uncheck the checkbox that says "preserve editing capabilities" to ensure that all images and figures appear properly when printed.

  • Poster trimming
    • The DMC has 36" wide and 60" wide paper rolls. If the dimensions of your poster fall in between those two, you will be responsible for trimming off the excess. The DMC has a 60" wide paper cutter that you may use to do so.

  • Poster printing time
    • The average printout time for a poster is about 10-20 minutes. There might be a queue of posters to be printed when there is a poster event, or the DMC staff might be busy helping other patrons. The turnaround time will vary depending on the situation.
    • The DMC stops accepting new poster printing requests after the cutoff time, which is either 20 minutes before closing, or a staff-designated time when there is a long queue of posters to be printed. Patrons will need to return the next open day to print if they pass the cutoff time.
